7. Handling & Cutting notes:
1) To make sure about safety, please require workers to wear gloves, when handling corrugated steel sheets;
2) Please ensure peoples’ hands or gloves are clean, when it need to mark on zinc/al steel sheets;
3) A coloured pencil is needed,which is for marking mark on steel sheets.Because lead or black pencils are containing graphite,which will lead to rusting quickly;
4) Color coated steel sheets are best cut using tin snips. But for the long sheets, it is necessary to use a power saw with a steel cutting blade or a power nibbler;
5) Please avoid using abrasive discs,since they may cause glitch on edges and damage on coating;
6) Please clean off any swarf and metal filings progressively,during the installation.
8. How to choose the suitable steel sheets for your bulidings:
1) Considering your environment:
You need to consider where you will use the steel claddings and choose the correct coating type for your bulidings.We have PE, PVDF, SMP, HDP coating type for your choice.
For PE coating: It’s suitable for common climate urban and rural areas,lifetime could be 8-10 years;
For PVDF coating: It’s suitable for coastal or industrial environments,where the climate is with high moisture and temperature,or rainy area,the life span is around 20-25 years;
For SMP coating: It’s improved PE coating,It has better resistance to sunlight and chalking. It is denatured by Silicone resin with excellent color retention and heat resistance. The denaturation ratio of PE can be between 5% and 50%. SMP provides better durability for steel plates. Its corrosion protection period can be as long as 10-12 years;
For HDP coating: It’s suitable for area,where is with high temperature.The high weathering polyester resin is synthesized by using a monomer containing a cyclohexane structure to achieve the flexibility, weather resistance and cost balance of the resin, and the aromatic-free polyol and polybasic acid are used to reduce the absorption of UV light by the resin. To achieve high weather resistance of the coating. UV coatings and hindered amines (HALS) are added to the coating formulation to improve the weather resistance of the film. High weathering polyester coil coatings have been recognized in the market abroad, and the cost performance of the coatings is very prominent.The life span is around 15-20years.
2) Other choices:
In very severe conditions and environment,you could choose steel sheets in stainless steel or aluminum sheets,which will be much more better.
